Surveying, Valuation & Management

Every client and building requires an individual approach. Cobb Management provides a service that can be tailored to your needs and requirements.

Valuations can be required for a number of different purposes. Statutory valuations, and those provided for various tax and financial matters, are often required to be provided by an appropriately qualified Registered Valuer. Cobb Management Limited is regulated to carry out valuation work by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and are deemed fully compliant with the International Valuation Standards (IVS).

We offer the full suite of RICS Home Surveys, as well as our own bespoke Building Survey, which can be tailored to a client’s specific requirements. For further information on the types of surveys we can provide, please refer to our dedicated Survey page

The Party Wall etc Act 1996 regulates the relationship between neighbouring owners concerning specified types of construction on, or in close proximity to, the boundary between adjoining owners. These types of construction work will often involve a party wall, although not in every case. We offer simple ‘plain English’ advice and smooth administration to deal with our clients’ obligations effectively.

If you are proposing to carry out works under the Act, it is important that you obtain party wall advice at an early stage and before any works are undertaken.

Many buildings suffer problems throughout their life-cycle. This can be particularly disconcerting where it affects the internal environment and the health of the occupants.

Where issues arise with a building, we can inspect and report upon the specific areas of concern, whether on behalf of prospective buyers or existing property owners.

Our knowledge and experience of building pathology allows us to identify and provide effective solutions for addressing the problem or carrying out remedial works. In addition, and if required, we can arrange and supervise the appointment of contractors to carry out any necessary works.

Many people want to extend their homes, others have potential development land. Most would not know where to start with finding a builder, not to mention navigating their way through the planning system and obtaining approval under the building regulations.

If you want to explore the possibilities of extending your home, or believe your property has development potential, we are always happy to offer impartial guidance on the most appropriate way of dealing with this to maximise the potential of your property.
